Roland Gumpert (pronounced GOOM-putt) who was the former Director of Audi Sports wanted to design a car that was race ready and yet street legal.
With 45 employees he developed the Apollo range of sports cars.
His Apollo ran faster than the Bugatti Veyron and Pagani Zonda.
