APE (pronounced AA-Peh) is a brand that is owned by the Italian two-wheeler giant Piaggio and is used for all 3 wheel vehicles.

APE means a 'bee' (in Italian) and produced her first vehicles after 1947.

In India they have a very big presence with a factory in Baramati (Maharashtra) and goods carrying vehicles produced by them can be seen over India.
