The Lada Classic was based on FIAT 124 and is the most popular Russian-made car that is still manufactured. It was also exported to the West under different names Signet (Canada), Nova (Germany) and Riva (UK). This model was the main foreign currency exchange earner for the then Soviet Union and in 1980 when communism gave away, the Lada Classic were used as barter to purchase Coca-Cola drinks.
The body shell is the same as our Premier 118NE that were made by Premier Automobiles in the 80's.
