Hanomag the German producer of heavy duty trucks and tractors wanted to promote the use of diesel and their powerful diesel engines.
So in 1939, this car made of aluminium body was created. The car had a 1.9 litre diesel engine under its hood. A 70 km stretch from Dessau to Leipzig was prepared for the ground breaking speed records. And it did break several records travelling at a maximum speed of 155 km/hr.
Though its performance was lower than Mercedes-Benz cars, Hanomag proved that diesel engines can equally perform like petrol.
This is a RESIN model car and therefore has high degree of detailing.
