Edsel Ford was Henry Fords only child. From the very beginning Edsel Ford had a flair for designing and after a trip to Europe in 1932 asked Ford Companys Chief designer Bob Gregorie to make a car similar to what he saw in continental Europe.
Bob took the Ford 40 model and went to create something that America never saw before. He used an aluminium body with low down door opening, enclosed radiator and giving a 75 hp engine.
Edsel Ford however could not use this creation for a long time, as he died young at the age of 50, in 1943.
