The CX was an executive car that was produced from 1974-1991. Over 12 lakh cars were made. Because of its aerodynamic styling, it was named CX (drag coefficient is called Cx in French). This was a replacement for the earlier, hugely popular DS.
The Citroen CX Nilsson was made by the Swedish coachbuilder who built several of these and supplied to then erstwhile communist Germany. The design was based on the Citroen CX model called Nilsson Prestige, supplied by to Erich Honecker who was then the communist boss.
