Drag racing is a type of motor racing in which two cars on a straight path start at the same time to cross a set finish line. The length of the track is mostly ¼ mile (402 metres) though there are some other track lengths.

Top Fuel Funny Car is a type of vehicle and is characterized by having a carbon fibre body sitting on top of a custom made chassis, giving an appearance that is closer to actual showroom models. They have their modified engines placed in front of the driver unlike other drag racing cars where engines are positioned behind the driver.
The Chevrolet Camaro was built by Chevrolet in 1967 as a competitor to “Mustang”.
The Camaro has been one of the most iconic cars of the American muscle car era and since its introduction, the model has seen 5 generations of upgrades .It was intended for a common person to have the feel of driving a sports car. The first generation Camaro was designed after one of Chevrolet’s previous models, the 1967 compact Nova.
Chevrolet’s COPO (Central Office Purchase Order) Camaro were high performance models with 420hp engines, purpose built by the manufacturers for drag racing. They participated in the NHRA Stock Eliminator Class Races from1970 onwards.
One of the most famous drag racers in American history is Bruce Larson who raced in his iconic with a red, white and blue painted flip-top Chevrolet Camaro fibreglass body and the USA -1 decals. He also broke the all-time Top Fuel Funny Car record with a 7.41 sec run in 1967 and was inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 2006.
