It was in 1963 that this limousine started appearing on the roads in Moscow and at official functions at the Kremlin. All of a sudden, the western world was surprised to see such a large car making her presence felt. Little did the outside world know that this was a car that was the successor to the earlier ZIS 110.
Known as the ZiL 111G, this powerful car that could travel at a top speed of 170 km/hr was a top favourite of Nikita Khruschev (President of the USSR) as well as the young politburo member Brezhnev, who went on to become the country’s President later.
