
Produced by ZiL during the years 1958-1967, the ZiL 111 was a large-sized limousine that was built for the top brass of the communist part of the Soviet Union. There were a few variations of the same model, including the ones that were "D", "G", and "V".
Powered by a 6.0-litre V8 engine and automatic transmission, this "V" variant car had electric windows, air-conditioning, etc.. Its top speed was 170 km/hr. This model was displayed in the West during one of the exhibitions in 1958.
The Supremo and Secretary-General of Communist Party of U.S.S.R (Soviet Union), Leonid Brezhnev*, used one.
* Brezhnev was very close to Mrs. Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minster of India and visited India several times
