The only car made by Volvo in Italy, this car was the ultimate model to offer unparalleled luxury havingthe Volvo brand.
Developed jointly with Italian bespoke design house, Bertone, the Volvo 262C had a completely different and non-traditional Swedish look. The roofline had lower height (a tall person did find difficulty in getting into the car), thick C-pillars, uniquely designed rear side glass, etc. and was much different than it’s parent car – Volvo 262 GL.
With a powerful V6 engine, the Volvo 262C had all the trappings of a luxury car – veneer lined door panels, alloy wheels, heated front-seats, power windows, cruise control, etc.
A little over 6000 were produced.
