
The Volkswagen Type 2 goes by various names such as the Transporter, Kombi or Microbus. It is a forward control panel van that was introduced in 1950.
As it was the second model after the Beetle that was designated Type 1, the Type 2 also became popular because of the Hippie (flower power) culture in the late fifties and sixties. Until this day, every hippie will swear by this model.
This model which is Type 2 (T2) is a rendition of one of the painted models that symbolises Hippie culture.
