
Vintage racing models in the late 1940’s were hand-built by specialists.
One of the first models that Vespa made was the Vespa 98 Corsa Circuito*. Success soon came when, in the very same year, the scooter driven by Giuseppe Cau* won the 1947 Monte Hill Climb.
Piaggio’s next racing model was the Vespa 125 Circuito in the year 1949.
