Developed to offer close air support to ground forces, this single-seater twin turbofan aircraft with General Electric made TF34 engine was called Fairchild A-10A Thunderbolt II. It was nicknamed Warthog.
They entered service in the USAF (United States Air Force) in 1976 and over 700 were made.
