The ZU series of trailer trucks were introduced by UNIC in the early 50's in France with a higher payload capacity up to 35 tons. The ZU 122 was introduced in 1958 with a more powerful engine and 8 speed gearbox, was able to carry up to 40 tons.
With power steering for easy handling these trucks offered more ease for the drivers to handle on long distances and was the preferred model for the highways.
The MAZET Transports company was started by Louis MAZET in 1923 and his idea was to offer the best transportation services that would connect Aubenas (in North France) to Lille (South of France) via the city of Lyon. Today the group operates as Groupe MAZET and has over 1300 employees who work through 29 offices and having a vehicle strength of over 1000 vehicles.
