The Trabant was communist Germany’s most exported vehicle. Labelled as the people’s car, several new models came up with time. One was this variant called the Trabant 1.1 that had a powerful Barkas (another East German automobile brand) made 1100 cc 4-stroke engine. As this was the last generation model, not many were produced and today this vehicle is much sought after by automobile fans.
This is a scale model of the pick-up version that was also exported abroad in small numbers.
