It was in 1967 that an English group The Beatles released their famous album - Magical Mystery Tour. It was to coincide with the release of a film with the same name. The day selected was the Boxing Day* on 26th December. This album was not just a hit in the UK but broke all charts in Europe. It was even nominated for the 1968 Grammy Awards as the 'Album of the Year'.

This is a metal model replica of the original bus that the four (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr) took to promote their album. This bus also featured in the movie with the same name.
This bus, a Bedford from the VAL series (a series that was unique for her times) had a multi-axle incorporating two front steering axles. Bedford used to supply these buses to coachbuilders with only the chassis. For the movie, the bus used was the one made by F. W. Plaxton & Sons who named this model as Panorama Elite.
