The sales of the three-wheeled Tempo vans from Tempo Vidal + Sohn started declining prompting leading them to come out with a more sturdier 4-wheel vehicles. This resulted in the development of the Tempo Wiking (also known as Viking) that was fitted with a 2-cylinder, 2-stroke Heinkel engine having a power output of 17 hp.
With a payload capacity of 850 kg, it’s unique front grille (that reminded consumers of a shark teeth), the Wiking / Viking van became quite popular.
A very rare Tempo van (kastenwagen, in German) collectible with only 333 pieces created.
