
The Dreirad or Hanseat was actually a Tempo Front 6 and was so called as it had a front wheel drive with an engine mounted on top of the front axle. Hanseat was extremely popular in India too.
They were made by Bajaj Tempo* at Akurdi (Pune) between 1962-2000. Hanseat's are still seen in rural India, where they are used to transport people and materials.
