TX1 – London Taxi Scale - 1:43

Meant to be a replacement for the very popular Austin FX4, this Kenneth Grange (who designed the Kodak Instamatic camera) designed car was introduced to the public in 1997 by the London Taxis International Co.. It was called TX1.

In the very beginning they were powered by Nissan engine, but was subsequently replaced by Ford made Duratorq engine.

These taxis ply in the city of London.
