Designed by Lloyd Stearman in 1933, the first model rolled out the very next year. Soon after the company was purchased by the Boeing. This plane served as a trainer and trained hundreds of pilots (therefore nicknamed 'Cadet') in the USAF (United States) and RCAF (Canada). Over 10,000 were produced.
After the war, many of these planes were sold out in auctions and were purchased by enthusiasts and companies. Coke (Coca-Cola) used one of their planes and painted them in their signature red colour.
