Skoda Auto launched this MPV called Roomster first at the 2006 Geneva Auto Show.
Primarily this was the first vehicle that rolled out after the Volkswagen Group took over operations of the Czech based Skoda Group. Based on the same platform that gave the Audi A3 and the SEAT Toledo (SEAT from Spain is also a Volkswagen company), the Roomster had parts that were borrowed from Skoda's own Octavia s well as the Fabia. Because of her huge inside space that gave a large roomier type feeling, this MPV was named Roomster.
However this model did not sell in large numbers as people preferred the smaller and the more popular Skoda Yeti.
