A very large sized car, this car was originally made by Ford’s subsidiary in Europe called SAF. The Vedette was the only French-made car with a powerful 2.1 litre V8 engine in those days. This car was also the largest car under the Simca brand after French automaker brought Ford's factory in France.
Simca soon started marketing the newly acquired brand and several variants under various names - Vedette Versailles, Vedette Trianon, Vedette Regence. The estate version that was released in 1956 was named Simca Marly.
This metal scale model is an exact replica of an Municipality Ambulance.
