SAVA BMC S-66 MOP Scale - 1:43

A former FIAT technician, Francesco Scrimeri who came to Spain (when Italy was occupying the country) settled and started Sociedad Anónima de Vehículos Automoviles or SAVA in 1957 by making 3-wheelers. Soon he started making small-sized vans using Spanish made Barreiros engines.

But in 1960, his firm sold a small 8% stake to British Motor Corporation (BMC) so that more new generation vans and trucks could be made. And that is how the BMC collaborated van with locally made Barreiros engine called S-66 MOP evolved.
