Produced during the years 1971-1995, the Rolls-Royce Corniche was a development over the earlier made Silver Shadow.
It was on 13th November 1990 at 9 am the new Emperor of Japan Akihito took over the Chrysanthemum Throne. Soon the crowd gathered and over 120,000 people lined up the streets to witness the procession.
The temperature outside was cold but it was sunny. The Emperor along with his wife Empress Michiko entered the venue in a motorcade with 44 cars. They were traveling in this Rolls-Royce Corniche III.
