The Renault 5 Turbo were made in France & Belgium between 1980-1986. Though they made this model for participating in Rally's, a street version was also produced with a turbo-charged 1397 cc engine. Over 3500 of this model were made.
The Tour de Corse – Rallye de France was initiated in 1956 to be held on the island of Corsica.
Tour de Corse literally means to tour around the island on asphalted roads. This rally was also famously known as the “Ten Thousand Turns Rally” as the entire path runs through the mountain terrains that have sudden twists. The terrains were difficult enough to have caused several deaths in its history till date.
