The Shooting Star car from Renault was their only attempt to break the land speed record with the help of a gas turbine power made by Turbomeca in 1956.
The car was tested for 2 years from 1954 before Jean Hbert drove the car to a maximum speed of 307 km/hr in the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah, USA. This car made its appearance during many road shows in Europe in the 60s, but faded slowly since gas powered engines never became popular.
Very rare collectible in 1:43.
