
The TACR2 is basically a modified 6-wheeled Range Rover.
TACR stands for Truck Fire-Fighting Airfield Crash Rescue 2 (the number 2 stands for two ton vehicle) and is a rapid response vehicle used by the RAF (Royal Air Force) and the British Royal Navy.
Carmichael & Sons, specialists in making Fire Tenders used to earlier convert the Range Rover's into 6x4 and offer them to VIP clients under a brand name called Commando. The TACR2's were built on these Commando chassis. These TACR2’s saw action during the Bosnia war.
