Designed by longtime Porsche executive, Helmuth Bott, the Porsche 959 is twin-turbocharged and was during the mid-eighties, the world’s fastest street-legal car that did 0-100 km/hr in less than 3.6 seconds. This model was produced during the years 1986-1993.
The entire performance of this car revolved around her high-performance 2.8 litre engine having 24 valves, 6 connecting rods, 4 overhead camshafts, inter-cooler, etc. which could take the car to a top speed of over 315 km/hr. With an all-wheel drive system this car had excellent stability at any speed.
About 350 of these 2-door, 2+2 passenger cars were produced.
