A grand tourer created in 1978, the Porsche made 928 was meant to be the replacement car for the Porsche 911. It was also Porsche's first foray in to the V8 segment.
One of the manager's of a Volkswagen dealer in Germany was a person with an eye on design and having the urge to start something new. So Günter Artz left and established his own brand called Artz. His first product was a converted VW Golf car. Soon he launched a modified Audi Quattro model. This gave him the urge to increase his product portfolio by making the first Porsche 924 Kombi that was a complete sellout (he created only 20 of these).
His next journey with Porsche was this 928 that was called Porsche 928 S Turbo ARTZ Estate.
