A grand tourer created in 1978, the Porsche 928 was meant to be the replacement car for the Porsche 911. It was also Porsche's first foray into the V8 segment with a front engine.
To keep the weight of the car low, the body had a mixture of aluminium and steel panels. One interesting feature for this model was her integrated pop-up headlamps.
The "S" variant carried a 4.7-litre V8 engine under the bonnet.
