The 550 was produced by Porsche for 3 years from 1953 and were made especially for races.
Since all the other racing cars were painted in silver, Porsche used splashes of blue/red/yellow/white colour on its body to identify the Porsche colours from other participating brands.
Though a zinc alloy model, it has a high degree of detailing.
