It was in the city of Gmünd (Gmuend) in Austria, that Dr. Ferdinand Porsche built a sports car that was the basis to a successful range of models under 356. This was at a time, when automakers after the World War II, were trying to revive the automobile industry by bringing out innovative products.
Dr. Porsche working on the legacy of the Volkswagen Beetle came out with this new sports car that had a mid-engine, tube frame structure having an all-aluminium body. Initially this development was known as VW Sport, but this was later changed to the Porsche 356. And so began the legacy of one of the most famous cars in automobile history.
The first of these 52 Porsche's manufactured has now been captured through the rendition of this scale model.
