The Phaenomen Granit 27 truck launched in 1950 during the Leipzig Auto Show (in the then communist Germany) was named so because of her small 2.7 litre engine. It initially could carry a payload of 1500 kg before payload could be increased to 2 tons. Few of these trucks were also exported to Poland.
