A very large sized car, this Peugeot model broke several records and was made in several countries starting from France to Chile and Iran to Zimbabwe.
First released in 1987, it’s sports version called the Peugeot 405 Turbo 16 (also known as T16) Grand Raid (GR) was a car that was very much different than the street-legal version. It has won various rallies including the most toughest and gruelling race in the world i.e. Paris-Dakar rally.
This particular model was driven by Ari Vatanen and Bruno Berglund who won the 1990 Paris-Dakar rally.
