The first monocoque body car to roll out of Peugeot, the Peugeot 203 was a large-sized family car that came out in 1948. Though it was exhibited a year earlier this car took nearly five years to be built from the drawing stage.
By the time production ended in 1960 over 700,000 were built including the ones made in Australia. The Peugeot 203 model were used as taxis in the cities of Lyon and Paris in France.
