One of the favourite models for American truckers because of her easy engine accessibility and high degree of visibility, the Peterbilt 281 was a tractor unit that first rolled out in 1954. And because of her short-nose, this truck earned the nickname “needlenose”.
With a powerful Cummins made NTC engine, this truck had a turbo-charger unit. Though her body was made of steel, the cab body was made of aluminium. With prominent fenders and having a butterfly hood these trucks were used for long haul movement.
