The development of the Opel Blitz double cab truck was the next step in 1952 after the first generation Blitz truck rolled out successfully in 1935. With a payload of nearly 2 tons, under the bonnet was a 2.6 litre, 6-cylinder petrol engine that gave 70 HP.
Offered to customers in various combinations of a truck, pick-up and trailer, the double cab unit was the ideal Transporter for the Porsche Racing Team to move her racing cars to the circuits of Nürburgring, Hockenheimring, Le Mans and Targa Florio.
A rare collectible whose value will increase in the coming years.
