Opel 4 PS - Laubfrosch Scale - 1:18

The inspiration behind this model was to replicate the production line of Ford with their successful Model-T.

The Opel 4 PS, a carbon copy of the Citroen 5CV model introduced in 1922, was dubbed Laubfrosch or Tree Frog (in German) due to its paint scheme, green. Citroen did file a legal suit in the German courts, but lost the case due to the shape of the radiator grille which was the only difference.

With a 1.0-litre engine, the Opel 4 PS having a speed of 60 km/hr was offered with a boattail shaped end. This model was produced until 1931 and nearly 120,000 were produced.
