Beginning in 1964, customers could buy a car that was really long. So long, that General Motors (GM) that owned the Oldsmobile brand, did not want to name this car as an Estate or Stationwagon. They simply named it as Vista Cruiser.
This Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser was too luxurious for the owner. With a sweeping view (vista) of the sky through it’s roof glass, the occupant would simply feel free while being inside the car. Oldsmobile, further advertised her main USP for this model - 11 windows.
With a various petrol engine options (Rocket V8) such as the 5.7 litre, 6.6 litre and monstrous 7.5 litre, this car model was produced until 1972.
