Nissan Patrol 300 H-60 – JONGA Scale - 1:43

It was in 1960 that Nissan introduced the Patrol 300 H-60 4x4 in short, medium, and long wheelbase versions. These were produced in Japan, the Philippines, South Africa, and India.

In India, they were known as JONGA, which was the acronym for the Jabalpur Ordnance and(N) Gun Carriage Assembly. These were produced from 1965–1999 and were the main workhorses for the Indian Army.

This model was extensively used by the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) during the Sri Lankan civil war between 1987 and 1990 (see image).
