Developed as an urban utility vehicle, the Nissan NV200 is a light commercial vehicle that first came out in 2010. Also known as the Evalia, the model is made in Japan and other countries such as China, Indonesia, Spain and Mexico.
Nissan also launched this model in India in 2012 as the Evalia, to counter the presence of the Toyota Innova, but it did not achieve enough volumes. Ashok Leyland also attempted to sell these under their own brand called STILE, but that too didn't take off as expected.
The Nissan Evalia can still be seen being used by tour operators across the country.
