It was in 1953 when Gottlob Auwärter Jr. built the first bus with air-suspension, the Neoplan NH 9L that paved the way to make Neoplan a global brand for buses.
Today this brand can be seen in cities of Europe and almost all airports around the world.
In India, this brand became famous after Kirloskar’s signed a contract in 1978 with Neoplan to produce 500 air-suspension buses for the first time. The buses were popularly known as Kirloskar Neoplan and were used by travel operators across the country..
