The Mitsubishi Lancer was derived out of the sub-compact Japanese car called Mirage. The Lancer was sold under different names in different countries such as Colt, Chrysler Valiant, Galant Fortis, etc. Since 1973 until this date, over 60 lakh cars have been manufactured.

This scale model is a rendition of the EX variant that are used as police cars in the city of Gong'an, a town in Guangxi region of China.
