Designed to compete in the 2017 F1 season, the Williams GP Engineering Limited made FW40 is a car thta has a monocoque constructed chassis that has a honeycomb design. For power it installed a specially made 1.6 litre Mercedes-AMG F1 M08 EQ Power+.
On 26th November, at the Yas Marina Circuit during the 2017 edition of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this #19 car was driven by Brazilian Felipe Massa. Though this car came in the 10th position (Finnish driver Valterri Bottas came first), what was significant was, this was Massa’s last Formula One race.
Felipe Massa retired with a record of 11 wins, 16 pole positions, 15 fastest laps, 41 podiums, and 1167 career points.
