The Mercedes-Benz 220 or W115 was a 4-cylinder engine model that was produced during the years 1968-1976. Since it was the 8th year of 1960 and Mercedes was starting their New Generation of vehicles this model was called "/8" that was later modified to "strich acht" (in German) which mean 'dash eight'.
