
Mercedes Simplex model was first developed in the year 1901.
Wilhelm Maybach, its creator called it Simplex because according to him the car was too simple to operate. By 1902 the Simplex model had various capacity engines - 20 HP, 28 HP and 40 HP. They were made until 1909.
