Successor model to the earlier Mercedes-Benz O405, the Citaro bus model first rolled out in 1997. Produced by both Mercedes and EvoBus (a subsidiary firm of Daimler-Benz), this model comes in several variants such as standard 10 metre (Citaro K), 12 metre (Citaro) and the long articulated bus of 18 metre (Citaro G). Hybrid and electric models with the above configuration are also made.
Kaiserslautern, is a small city in South-West Germany and the German Red Cross (DRK) once ran a campaign through their city buses. This is an exact replica of one of the buses.
