Known as the G-Wagen (in German, Geländewagen means a cross country vehicle), the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a mid-size 4 wheel drive, luxury SUV manufactured by an Austrian manufacturer called Magna Steyr (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch).
In Austria, Switzerland and few East European countries they have also been sold as Puch G. After a suggestion from the Shah of Iran, who was a major shareholder at Daimler-Benz to make a military type 4 WD vehicle, this car came in to existence. The civilian version came much later in 1979.
The 460 was popular with military and off-road enthusiasts, with over 50,000 being built in the first decade. This is the cabriolet (a vehicle with the roof folding down) version of the original.
This is a 1:18 scale RESIN model and has high degree of detailing.
