A joint project between McLaren Automotive and Mercedes-Benz, the SLR (SLR stands for Sport, Leicht, Rennsport which in German means sport, light, and racing).
Designed by Korean designer Yoon Il-hun who works with Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR with a 5.4 litre supercharged M155 V8 engine can run a top speed of 365 km/h. Between 2003 and 2008 when production ended, nearly 3500 were produced.
