This van was known by few names because of company mergers. It was first known as Harburger series in 1965, then Hanomag Henschel and finally the Mercedes L 206 after Daimler-Benz took over Henschel.
In India, Bajaj Tempo Ltd. produced them at their Akurdi (Pune) plant as F 305 (short wheelbase) and F 307 (long wheelbase) models.
